Finally have a few moments to post some pictures from the Newport Guitar Festival. Of course i'm going to start with the reason i build. John Monteleone. The first Radio City, btw, this was the first mandolin you saw when you walked in the door !!

A really nice Monteleone inspired mandolin by Cris Mirabella.

Nice one piece back. Cris was a great guy and has a really nice history being brought up around Jimmy D-Aquisto and John Monteleone.

I know this is not a guitar board, but this Cris Mirabella arch-top got my vote for ' Best in Show '

Saved the Best for last, the 19" Il Bambino travel guitar from John Monteleone !
Just a note, all these builders were first class people! I had to go back the second day to take more pictures because my first roll of film looked horrible, and they were just as friendly as the day before, no 'luthier stalker' fear here!! I just wish i could have gotten the pics up here quicker, but better late than never !

Well, I'm not a fan of the funky scroll on the Monteleone F. But, the pickguard with the MOP inlay is way cool!
