I brought myself in for what you might call "diagnostics and a tune-up by a qualified professional" the other day. He tells me that "Tea for One" by Jethro Burns is exactly what I need.
Where do I get this thing? I can't seem to find it on the web or locally. I heard Grisman re-released it, but I can't find it on Acoustic Disc by that name. Got any leads?

I'll second this question. I have an n-generation, decades-old cassette; would love to get a clean copy. What a great record. Any sources?

Suggestion, create an eBay saved search for it, the kind that sends you an email if the search terms come up. It's free, and you never know, it may show up.

Issued on them big LPs, got one 'back in the days' # just pulled out.
issued on Kaleidoscope label, # F-14, ('82)
# [Back - to Back with Tiny Moore is #F-9]
side 1 studio, side 2 stage. #both in Berkeley. #Grisman , producer of the LP recording.
Hope it helps #the #search...
perhaps email Acoustic Disc, they know their own catalog.

This one has never been out on CD. Acoustic Disc doesn't own the rights.
Kaleidoscope was purchased by Rhino I believe.

Thanks for the leads so far. I'm getting the feeling that if some does find a copy, hey, it's gone! Nothing so far...

I like digging up these threads that are almost 6 years old.
Here's a copy (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5574992062&toolid=10001&campid=5336987694&customid=&icep_item=130663926129&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg), but don't expect cheap. If I had a turntable I'd be tempted to buy it. I put in an automated eBay search for this several months ago and this is the first one that's popped up. Darn rare.

Several threads in the archives on this one. Here's one where I listed the song titles (http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/showthread.php?80182-Tea-For-One).

I, uh, have a copy of the LP. I got it years and years ago, played it once and copied it to cassette. Problem is, with copyright laws and stuff, even if I did find a way to save it to MP3 and share it (I'm not sure how to do that...), it would violate all sorts of laws, and with this public posting, I guess I'm really making a target of myself! Besides, technically speaking, unless one makes a degraded copy, if someone makes a pristine, perfect copy, it seems that royalties should go the Jethro's family.
What can I say about the LP? Well, there are a few really corny jokes, but his playing is, well, pure, A-quality Jethro. Nice, smooth, clean -- though his mando seems to ring just a little more on this one than one some of his other ones.
Wish I could find a way to legally and ethically share it, but I don't have enough money for the attorney fees! (Maybe I shouldn't have even posted this at all.....ooops!) Then again, I guess there are some LP's out there so I don't feel tooo guilty about not sharing. Also, I suspect one can get it for a lot less than $99 -- although probably not ten bucks!

Maybe they'll release it on MP3 land. I'd love to buy a copy when they do.

If Rhino records does have the label that owns the masters , now ,
Begin the campaign, over at the Label's website,
and see if they have motivation , for a paid download ,
just to quiet down the rabble with the torches and pitchforks .. ;)

It is such a great album. I was so lucky that a friend of mine that sells used vinyl got one in and kept it around for me. Everyone should be able to hear it.
