Wonder if there are any flute players (Boehm system) who have taken up mando in the North Virginia/east WV panhandle/Shenandoah Valley (I-81)?
Will swap an occasional mando lesson for occasional help and tech pointers for flute.

I don't know, but you might contact Patrick Olwell in Nelson County, VA as he might know of someone in Virginia. Here is a link to an interview with Patrick and it has his contact info in the top section. I heard him and his son play last year in Richmond, VA at the National Folk Festival and I would think that would be a tight knit community where he would know about other flute players (of any system) in Virginia. At least it's worth a shot if you haven't tried him already.
