will be hosting an open mic on fridays with my partner at the (there is only one) tavern in holliston, mass. -
Casey's Crossing (81 Railroad street, just off rt.16) starting on 4/30. (we are actually looking for folks to host on the weeks we can't, so let me know if you may be interested).

it is not genre specific, the only rule is acoustic instruments only.
anyone who wants to come down and play, it should be lots of fun.

peace,

ira

thanks so much mandobar (wish my mama had given me mandolin as my middle name. she used hurdy gurdy instead, and it hasn't worked out).

that is me singing (if you can call it that) on some of the tunes. i have the kind of growly voice, and do sing on my original tunes as well as a few others (don't think twice,etc..) never wanted to sing much as wasn't comfortable and i love my partner's voice. but he liked the sound and convinced me and i am getting more comfortable with it.

thanks again for the kind words,

ira

a little nervous about it, but
first open mic night is tonight in holliston, ma 8:30-11pm
if coming from east on rt. 16 (heading west)- to holliston center pass town hall on right, then see fiskes general store on left/gas station on right- make left onto central.
approx 1/2 mile see cvs on right, see casey's sign on left and make left onto railroad street-park
from 16 west (heading east) see mobil on left through blinking light-make right onto central -follow as above.

flier is attached.

if you live in the area.
come on down and play a few. we have a p.a. and any genre of music is fine.

peace,
ira
