Here is a sample of the description: "Have you always wanted a Lloyd Loar Gibson F-5 Master Mandolin but don’t have thousands and thousands of dollars to buy one? Here is a way to get darn close for a tiny fraction of the cost! The Kentucky KM700 is the “cream of the crop” traditional F-model mandolin..."

Do these people on e-bay think that everybody who buys a mandolin is a toothless hillbilly? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

That sorta reminds me of one of my former salesmen. He was trying to sell a guy a car and was OBVIOUSLY asking way too much for it. The customer exclaimed "What....do you think I'm stupid or something?" to which he replied "No sir, but I didn't want to miss you if you were!". They both erupted into roaring laughter. After about 2 more minutes of negotiating he closed the sale and made a grand total of $400!

Or as a famous politician said, "You can fool some of the people some of the time; and those are the ones you gotta concentrate on."

As a brainless, toothless hillbilly, I take great umbrage to the derogatory remarks being made about my kind. We might not bathe all that often and perhaps have a few too many cars jacked up in the front yard, but even we don't beleive a lot of the #$%$#%&* up on ebay or that foisted upon us by network television.
