Hi All,
My wife and I are moving to Vermont next week (from Atlanta). Just wondering if there were places to pick? People to pick with?

Hey,
Welcome to vermont.
shoot me an email at vtboarder33@yahoo.com
Most open Jams take place during the winter but I jam with different folks around Burlington and we are alway looking for new people to pick with.

Welcome. I moved to Burlington from North Carolina 20 years ago. We play lots of music here. Call when here or respond by this thread. Doug

Welcome to our little corner of heaven, and I hope our paths cross. If you need more advice than from the two fellows who have already responded, I'll be happy to try to help. -- Paul

Hi guys,
Thanks for your replies! We're here, and its great...but still trying to get settled. Tuesday evening, I found a bluegrass band at a little inn 3 blocks from our house in Essex Junction.

I'll contact you guys soon, but I'm starting to get anxious to play some music with someone.

Thanks again!

Jom, I played at that little inn the very next night in the open Celtic session (which meets every other week). I have to miss the next open session because of vacation, but otherwise I'm pretty faithful. Introduce yourself to the shaggy middle-aged guy playing either a modern Rigel or a vintage Lyon & Healy, and I'll be glad to meet you! My home is actually about eight miles further out Route 15, in Jericho. Phone number's in the book. -- Paul

And come on down to the Champlain Valley Folk Festival this weekend. Not much jamming yesterday, but some good music. I'm backing up Dick Staber on the main stage at 3 today.
