A neat article about a violin builder that is retiring to be a psychologist. #Shouldn't it be the other way around? #

Mandolin content: None really. #Just thought it was a neat article.

Do the "real" luthiers ever retire.... I've known a few - a few still with us.., a few gone from this earthly sphere ; none of 'em actually "retired" - a few "slacked-off'... ; but retire.... Naaaaa.. - Moose. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif

Old luthiers never die/retire.....

...they're just "strung along"?
...they just fret away?
...they just "tune out"?

The article did not say he is retiring. He is playing psychologist two days a week and building violins about 30 hours a week.
