I bet that one could howl. What a snuggle bunny.

Adorable but I didn’t think Gibson made blondes. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Does it bark? (asking the obvious question)

That's the only Gibson Goldrush I'll be able to afford. Good looking dog.

Great puppy! I'd take him out of the case quickly though. There are better humidifiers. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

I bet if you hold out your hand, it'll show you some Dawg licks.

Is that the puppy's name -- Gibson? I guess he/she is a model K9 -- actually would be a mandocello, or, at least, grow into one.

Yes, his name is Gibson. He is a Goldador - a cross between a yellow Lab and a Golden Retriever. He is from a good breeder up in Virginia. They are usd almost extensively as service dogs. He has a great bark, wonderful tone, but his Dawg licks are still a bit shy.

Oh, my! He is just perfect. I wonder if he will sing like my old Goldador used to, Whenever I played, he sang along. We'll have to wait and see about that. Anyone got a dog named Charlie?

I'm certain it is a commentary on my playing: my lab leaves the room when I start picking!

Be careful. Your Mando will turn into a double bass before you know it! I'd post before and after images, but I have to remember how.

Congrats on the 'new Gibson!'

I've got a friend who lives in the Kalamazoo area, is a big Gibson fan (them being made for so long there in Kalamazoo) and who collects various stringed instruments by Gibson. His dog - a poodle - is named Gibson. Very smart little pooch!

Looks like mine about six months ago. Gus is now eight months old and 85 lbs. Better stock up on dog food.

Cute, good looking dog and great photo. Save it for your christmas cards.

I like Flowerpot's Dawg licks comment best. I had a Jack Russell for 18 years (looked just like Scott's), a black lab for 15 years, and now my Golden is two. This is by far the best dog I've known. Both Retreiver breeds are so obedient -- they live to please their owners, so a hybrid should be really special. In fact, I was walking my Golden Retreiver the other day (I don't need a leash anymore) and she ran up to me with $30 in her mouth, so they do live up to the name!
