Hi all,
Since I have a non-musician (and sensibly budget-minded) girlfriend, thought I'd share this with those who might understand my enthusiasm. A couple weeks ago I placed an order for a custom Weber Bridger A. Now, to survive the wait!

For better or worse it will be unlike any mando out there (which, I reasoned, is just what a custom should do). It will have East Indian rosewood back & sides, abalone inlays for the knot, logo & fretboard, and have a wide, radiused neck with gloss finish.

This doesn't mean, however, that I have to give up un also eventually owning a pre-1930 Gibson oval hole, right? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Congratulations on your purchase...just don't drop it on the kitchen floor the first week you have it like I did with my new solid wood F-style. #And yes, you can still have that vintage Gibson once your girlfriend falls in love with the mandolin. #Since she loves you, this is bound to happen!
