Is it just me, or are there any other pickers out there who are addicted to this message board? Mandolin Cafe Addiction Syndrome; MCAS. I think I even overheard my wife say something the other day about an intervention.

What are the symptoms of MCAS? I'm doing just fine. I don't have a problem. I only check for new posts every hour. Now there are some others out here who really have a probl....

I have given serious thought to this site taking away from my mandolin playing, so i just started to bring it with me...

I check in several times a day, as a welcome respite from work.

There is also the related condition, thankfully rare, which is MCWS, or Mandolin Cafe Withdrawal Syndrome. When the site was down for a couple of days to change servers last Fall, I thought I was going out of my mind! (Not far to go, I know, LOL!) Dale and I tried to substitute by IM'ing each other every hour or so. I kept the site URL in an open browser window and I just kept hitting "Refresh" all day, waiting for it to come up. It was pathetic!

My wife has joked that she is going to start a forum for mandolin widows to offer a place for our spouses to go and discuss of our obsession with mandolins and the forum. She even had the idea of trying to post true mandolin prices for those of you who buy them on the sly. Could be bad for us...
