I have a Morgan Monroe that have a tuner shaft out of place so that it makes it hard to turn. The shaft is pushed to the inward about an 1/8 of an inch so the worm is out of line with the gear. Is this something that I can do or do I have to send it back to the factory?

Sorry, here is a pic.
It is the second one from the bottom on the right. The one above it is out of place to. The tuners on the left are how they were in the beginning.

Contact Morgan Monroe. When I had a tuner button crack on me I e-mailed/called and got a replacement from them. They may be able to send you one of their stock parts for almost nothing or for a small fee.

My quick google didn't find them... I may have gotten their direct number from (don't throw rocks now) Folk of the Wood as they sell Morgan Monroe Mandos. Any MM dealer ought to help you get in touch with the supplier company in the US.

Don't the Morgan Monroe's come with a lifetime warranty? If so,wouldn't they want to have an authorized dealer/repair center fix it for you at no cost?

I found out quite by accident that the tuners on my Morgan Monroe were prone to get out of sorts- try , as I did, removing the screw that holds the gear in place -hold the the tuner shaft(the string is still wrapped around it on the other side ) to keep it from falling out-move the worm shaft back to where it is in line-then place the gear back on the shaft and insert screw- that fixed my alignment problem and it's worked ok for a week or so! Also if that fails I have a "customer service" contact person's email for Morgan Monroe and I'll gladly share it with you!
