I'll try to put up some more pics today. I love applying oil varnish! There's nothing as good as the smell. I use it for cologne....

..great...man..I love it....I know they sound awesome..I played one at SPBGMA....I may have to look into one of those in the future....I love supporting the smaller builders who put out stellar work...Ken, do you voice the Classic they same as your other F models?...they have got a deep, woody tone that is very warm...thats the sound I really like...

This mandolin is deep woody and powerful. I go for that sound always. Both my regular F and my "Classic" are voiced the same way. Thanks for the good comments.....

..no problem for the kudoz...I call them as I see them...you make a great mando...I just wish my finances were of such where I could have you build me a distressed Classic...nothing wrong with having more in the fold...

I am the very happy new owner of this beautiful distressed model. I must tell you that it sounds even better than it looks. Ken is quite a craftsman and very easy to do business with. I highly recommend a Silver Angel made by Ken Ratcliff.mandosmiley:

The burst on the back resembles the figure of a dancer. #Was that deliberate, or just the natural variations in the wood? #Whatever the case, it's pretty cool!
