Is this a rarity? Not that I would want it. A short lived Item?

A full line of Gibson violins was made in Kalamazoo by Gibson in the late 30's. The line was discontinued during the war and never revived. They were well made instruments, and are pretty rare.
A former bandmate of mine owned and played one, and it was a very nice sounding instrument.

And there are violins with the Virzi in them as well. Lloyd Loar had put a Virzi in his violin; probably Gibson put them in any violins they made.
