I've just received my Circle of Fifths Polish Cloth, ordered from JazzMando--excellent. Highly recommended (this from someone who washes her hands before picking up her instruments.) Very soft to the touch; I use it on both my vioin and mandolin. Great product, great price.

Being from central WI, I read that as "Polish" as in coming from Poland. (I am a Polished Polish person) Then I wondered if a Polish polish cloth came predirtied or what was the "Gag" invovled...

i.e. Polish Submarines have screen doors....

Thanks for the kind words, folks. I should clarify that there are actually two different cloths being discussed. (Please pardon the shameless plug...) The Jupiter Silkweave Cloth (http://jazzmando.com/silkweave_cloth.shtml) has been out for a while, folds up nicely and has proven to perform well in light dusting and fingerprint removal.

The new Circle of Fifths Cloth (http://jazzmando.com/circle_of_fifths_cloth.shtml) is a dual purpose MicroFibre product that's a bit meatier and larger in size. It not only cleans as well, it also packs a pedagogical purpose. The concept is to have a visual aid of the classic Circle of Fifths (http://jazzmando.com/circle_of_fifths.shtml) as you practice. Running Scales, Arpeggios, and 'ii V7 i" (or 'IV V7 I') through the clock is a great way to familiarize yourself with many tangible aspects of music theory and dig into some of those frightening enharmonic keys. (Db/C# anyone???) Drape it across your case or over your music stand, and tuck it with your mandolin when your done practicing. (and wiping down your instrument)

Soft Clean and Lint free do in a pinch. #I have a Vintage Jazz Mando Polish cloth (pre-circle of fifths logo). #I would be willing to let this earlier model go for $5,000.00 or a vintage 3point F4 in playable condition (need not be all original (I don't want to seem to greedy) and I'll include shipping to the lower 48 only though. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

These Jazzmando ones are nicer than the typical guitar store ones. #The micro fiber is very nice.

I like your sense of humor, Jamie http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Also like the Circle of Fifths polish cloth. I'm like you, Denamarie; my instruments are never touched without me first washing my hands. Might get a Circle of Fifths and a Jupiter silkweave.

I have a good cloth I got from Dexter Johnson, don't know if he sells them.

The printing sublimated or screen print?

That's a question that someone who doesn't spell violin correctly can't answer. (Maybe I just played the "l" out of it http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Not sure if the official process is sublimation (http://www.dyesubinks.com/index.php?pagetitle=Basics%20of%20Sublimation&pageto=sublimation.htm) or not, but if you run your finger (or mando) across the design, you don't feel the art. It's impregnated into the fabric. Won't affect the finish.

Jamie I like your "Po-lish" cloth, but around here in Nebraska, we call those long buttoned things "kerchiefs" (handy for wiping a runny nose). Glad to see you've got the checkerboard pants underneath to match...
