Hey there! I currently live in Corpus Christi but we're about to buy some property near Boxley Valley. The plan is to move there when we retire in about 12 years. Maybe by then I'll be good enough to pick with you some time! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Arkadelphia, about 70 miles south of Little Rock. I play with a group called "Summer Harvest." I am interested in jams close by if possible. G.B.

You guys be careful giving away our hotspots! Dale and all the other Texans will be moving over here looking for shade and water! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Yep...but they have to go back to the Armadillos, fire ants, and something they think is BBQ. Poor souls! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Hey, I'm feeling pretty lucky. 160 acres of heaven that never even went on the market. There's only 4 neighbors within a mile. Kinda fell into the deal. Papers aren't signed yet so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. We plan to build a log cabin with a porch all the way around it and swings and rocking chairs on every side so I can pick wherever I want. I love it up there, even in August it's about 20 degrees cooler than Corpus which is alot like Lonesome Dove with seafood. I'm not sure if Dale will be running from Texas...he lives in the purty part with trees and hills! I'm headed up that way next month.

I live on the other end of the Buffalo river, not far from Buffalo point. We go up to Boxley to hike sometimes. Anywhere on the Buffalo is great! Good luck and congrats on the land purchase.

Beachbum ,
Boy , that wrap around porch with all those rockin' chairs sounds wonderful to me . I got to spend a little time at Hawksbill Crag a few weeks ago and hiked the Hideout Hollow area week before last . Absolutly BEAUTIFUL ! You are very lucky to score a piece of property in that neighborhood !! Best of luck to you . http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif

Thanks guys! I'm really looking forward to it. I was up there over spring break and saw elk for the first time. I also made my first drive up Cave Mountain Rd. Didn't make it all the way to Hawksbill Crag but that's on the list for this summer. Thanks for the good wishes. If we're all still around when that house gets built we might have to have a mini festival.
