So, recently I was given a small( lol http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif ..they're all small aren't they....just a minor understatement)(512 MB Flash Memory) mp3 player for my birthday.
The first thing I loaded onto it was some guitar tracks I had recorded using Audacity to use as backing practice for some of the tunes I am learning. Of course, then I had to load albums and then I just had to try podcasting....those 16 hour days get long....need the variety.
I am a truck driver who spends hours sitting waiting. I know when I will be sitting and take my beater with me to practice. Along with the mp3 player I added a FM transmitter so I can play through the radio in the truck or car.
Anyways, two things have occured to me as I have started using the mp3 player. Podcasting is becoming pretty common throughout the internet. I am sure that some of you are much more conversant with podcasting than I( Darn, I am such a newbie at so much http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif ). With such a large musically educated community here at the cafe...pocasts would seem to be a natural fit since we are a community that is esentially aurally oriented.
Ideas anyone, thoughts .... possible ... impossible ..... too much work .... too risky ..... ? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif
The other thought that occurs to me, is since I will not fill my own mp3 player with mine own backing tracks. If you had limited space and could only carry a small number of albums with you, what would be your 5 favorite albums you play/jam along with?
