Except for the mandatory trip to Logan to visit Weber and to visit my son, I don't have anything else planned in Boseman. My wife and I are flying in. We'll stay in Idaho, and also hit Wyoming.

There is a pretty good (for Montana) music shop in Bozeman, Villa Music, on main street. They carry a decent supply of stringed instruments. Paula at Sound to Earth is a gem. She can tell you about music in the area. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Thanks Chuck,
I'm looking foward to meeting the Weber folks. I will probably leave my mandolin for a fret dress and check up.
I'm sure to check out Villa Music.

Greg Boyd in Missoula.
Then head north towards Flathead lake then on to Glacier National Park. One of the most beautiful areas in the USA.

I live in Bozeman, and if you'll be in town on a thursday night, I would highly recommend checking out the Bluegrass Jam at the Panhandler's Pub. Best Bluegrass scene around here, with excellent pickers to boot. Oh, and to ease any confusion, the music store is called Music Villa, and it is quite a nice store. Largest in Montana. I would also recommend hitting Yellowstone. It's only about a 90 min. drive from Bozeman, and it's virtually empty this time of year, except for the wildlife, of course. I hope your stay is a good one.

I played the Holiday Inn lounge on Bozeman 6 nights in a row, back in '79, the longest month of my life.

The folks at Weber are extremely nice hosts. If you're stuck in Bozeman, the Museum of the Rockies is a good visit. If you can spare a day or two, Yellowstone is worth the visit. If you're traveling east of there, the Beartooth pass is an awesome drive. It's between the NW corner of Yellowstone and Red Lodge, MT. Have a great visit.

You could float the Madisen River and catch some nice trout.
