Laminate Mando

I've got a Rogue Pac Rim POS made out of laminate that I've owned for about a year. Is there any possibility that this thing would "open up" to any degree? Because it seems to be.

Or maybe I'm just playing better?...

The conventional wisdom is that laminate will not open up and change its sound. So, that would mean your skills have improved. In addition to simply picking better, you have probably learned how to play this particular instrument to get the best tone out of it.

It depends on how much is laminate. #If the top is solid, it can open quite a bit even if the back and sides are laminate. #If the top is laminate, it may be a case of what they were talking about the other day (and Eric F, today) - you learning to use the best of what the instrument has.
