I went to the camp last year but not the festival. This year I plan to do both, which I guess tells you all you need to know about whether I think it's worthwhile. I camped in a tent last year and I'll do the same this year. The showers are nothing fancy, to put it mildly, but it's a pleasant wooded area. I can't really complain. I signed up for Reischmann's class too, but I haven't heard anything back yet. Hopefully I'll see you there.

I was in JR's class last year. He focused on double stops, which really opened up a whole new direction of playing for me. I'm still working on stuff from last year. I recorded a lot of his classes on minidisc. I just last week transcribed a latin jazzy thing he kind of threw out there one day. I tent camped last year. Facilities were adequate.

I'll be back this year as a volunteer staff. I figure that may be fun and another interesting way to participate in the camp. Plus it gets me into the festival for free. I'm looking forward to a week of music.

Any chance of getting a copy of the recording that you have, BluegrassBoy?
