It's a 30's - 40's dobro type. Using a juryrigged clamshell at present. Do you have, know of a source, or can you point me to in the right direction? I know - I can contact each of the resonator makers and ask, but I thought I'd start here and see if anyone had one in the parts bin. Not your everday catalog item.

Trendy? Getting funky? #No, the band leader handed it to me and said, "Play this."

Stewart-MacDonald has them, and they're not expensive.

thanks ironweed. I only see resonator guitar tailpieces in their online catalog. The mandolin tailpieces are basic (Allen, scalloped, Gib.) Are they in the printed catalog?

...didn't read close enough. Thought you were looking for conventional Dobro/National guitar tailpiece. Don't know about 8-string, but you might contact National Guitars in California. Could also check with Gibson to see if they have any old O.M.I./Dobro parts.
