I had a quote from Bill James for shipping cellulose nitrate binding to the UK which came out at $95 for 5 pounds of binding. I'm unlikely to want to order 5 pounds, so I'm trying to find out if anyone in the UK would be interested in ordering some and sharing the cost of shipping with me. PM me if you're interested.

I might be too... This question is going to sound odd: How long is one pound? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ie what length do you get in a pound's worth?

I've just been weighing my stash of ivoroid and I recon that there are about 22 strips of 0.060" x 1/4" x 54" to a pound!

How shall we do this?
I think the way it would work is that everyone would send me their requirements (look at Bill's site www.axinc.net to get the part numbers) and I'd place the order with Bill. When it arrives in the UK, I'll post it on to you (or you can collect from me). You can pay me (cash/cheque/PayPal) once the stuff arrives in the UK.
If you haven't already, please can you PM me if you're interested - that way I'll have your email address. I'll email everyone when I'm ready for you to send me your "shopping list".
