Just got a no-name bowlback and want to make it look good. Any suggestions on readily available materials that I could scab into where the old pickguard was?

I'd opt for the likely original material, tortoise-colored celluloid. Barring that, Carlo Aonzo's pickguard is a wee bit of inlaid olive wood. It looks mighty fine...and can be squeezed for a tasty vinagrette.
