I created an audio introduction to a podcast series I am creating (for work), basically a voice over track and mando background -- hence the board relevance -- and I'm trying to paste it in front of a spoken word podcast (two identical tracks L and R). But everytime I paste one in front of the other, one segment sounds like an old 78rpm vinyl record. Which settings are in conflict? Thanks. I thought I recorded both the same way.

Okay, so I figured out that my two audio segments are created in two different sample rates. The Introduction is in 44.1k (CD-format) and the speech is done in a slower 11,250k rate, so that if I combine them one seems speeded up.

The question is how do I mix apples with oranges? Thanks.

I can't answer anything, but thought to say that I have found the free Audacity application very useful for different types of recording experiments.

Thanks for trying. Actually I found the answer to my question online, in case anyone else has the same problem. Audacity help (http://www.jakeludington.com/audacity/20051121_changing_audio_sample_rate_in_audacity.ht ml)
