Hi guys, a while ago I said I would like to create a bluegrass review site - well I've got some time now and would like some reviews in.
Can you email them to matt@bytevisualmedia.co.uk
Cheers

Any guidelines here? Length? Who are we writing for -- knowledgable fans of bluegrass, or people on the fringe? Do you have any particular CD's you want reviewed, and if it's up the the reviewer to choose, how far back from date of release do you want to go (how old of a recording do you want to have reviewed)? Will the reviewers remain anonymous, or do you want names attached?

Hi.
Erm - the main guideline I want to set is not to insult the actual musicians. Lets make this a music site! For example - review Nickle Creek by what they play not what you wanted them to play!!!
Length isn't to big of an issue in my books - though keep it within reason.
I want the site to be a useful site for both the knowledgable fan as well as the fringe fan - therefore if you are referencing a song from another album include the name of the artist and name of that album!!! Hope that makes sense.
I want as many reviews as possible for when I open the site - Including all age recordings. From as old as it goes to as new as it goes. Let's get it all in! Although this is going to be listed as a Bluegrass review site I would like to include Country and things like Dawg, Classical (for e.g. Perpetual Motion by Bela Fleck). In the end this site should be huge - I've got big plans for it!!!!
The reviewers can remain anonymous if they like, though I would like to build up a little "community" of main reviewers to act as editors etc.
I would also like to include gig reviews in this and information about upcoming gigs. Obviously the site will begin small and hopefully build up but it is a project I have a lot of passion for and reckon it will be a really valuable resource!
