My recent efforts to learn "proper" bluegrass chords payed off tonight. As usual, I took my guitar and mandolin to the monthly jam session, and for once, I played the mandolin as much or more than the guitar. Of course, someone borrowed my guitar for part of the night, leaving me nothing else to play. But that forced me to figure out some chords I thought I didn't know by moving ones I do know up the neck. Maybe someday, I'll leave the guitar at home.
