I stumbled upon this website while searching for info on mandolin building. I don't know if it's anything worth while or not.

Joe Carr is great. #Love his videos. #The tab is a little primitive, but they're underrated in their content, IMHO. #Stay away from that jazz guy, though, Ted Something-or-other. #Nobody plays that stuff anyway. #Get a lot of funny sideways glances in a jam if you try jazz. # http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Oh tell me about it. #We were jamming on Red Haired Boy the other day and I started playing 9th chords and flatted 5ths and dimished chords and before we knew it we were playing Night in Tunisia. #How the heck did that happen? #We all had to stop and go get another beer. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blues.gif

None of the folks I (have) jammed with would recognize "Night in Tunisia" anyway. They know about Johnson City, Bull's Gap, Jeruselam Ridge, Slagle's Pasture..,etc.- But Night in Tunisia....naaa.....; They'd jusy chastise you for try'n to "show-off"... http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif
