I just recently registered so I haven't posted much, but I have used this message board extensively building my first mandolin.
I'd like to thank all the regulars on the board for imparting there wisdom and advice here, it really saved me a lot of aggrevation. I guess the hardest thing for me was bending the sides, now I think I'd have been better off with wood that wasn't so curly, but I perservered and have it down now.
I have some pictures of it on the picture board, under (My first mandolin) I don't know how to link it. It isn't perfect by no means, but it sounds great and looks better than I expected so I'm happy.
