Finesse It II on varnish?

I just buffed out a Stratocaster neck that I finished in nitro with this amazing stuff and it took on a deep mirror like gloss. Now I am thinking of wiping my Kimble down with naptha and rubbing some Finesse It II to shine it up. Good idea?

Be carfull with varnish!!! Novus 2 will work for that but, Just use a tiny drop. varnish will haze up real fast.

I would avoid using an abrasive on a varnish as it won't take many "shines" to remove the varnish all together, esspecially if there is only a very thin layer of shellac over oil.
