I saw & heard this mandolin at WinterGrass in Tacoma last month. When John Reischman played it, it sounded VERY good. But $10,000 . . . ?!! Why not $100,000?!!

What do you think, Scott and others? [Didn't you post something about this mandolin just after WG?]

Senor Bussman frequently puts up a mando for April Fools. I remember a couple years ago when he put up a blue mando for $15K, I think it was, poking a little fun at Monteleone prices in the process.

Yo, its jess me annual ebay mandojoke, if you wanna see more serious jokes just search guitar on ebay and click highest prices first to see what folks thinks their factory mass produced wooden toys should sell for! lotta zero bids at the top of that food chain.
anyway, have a safe april fools day....

I've played that mandolin and I'll tell you what--it's a fine sounding instrument. Serious. In particular, I thought it sounded... sweet.

Scott, old wavemaker, et al

You guys are GREAT - thanks for making life a LOT more fun!

And monsieur Bussman - what WOULD you (really) sell that melon for? Inquiring minds want to know . . .

I played its cousin "Juicy" a few weeks back--and I second Scott--it sounds and plays great. Everybody kept picking it back up; think I've even seen a picture of Joe Craven picking it!

Joe Cravin plays anything and everything...Master o Mo-Jo... (this is just my opinion... I'm certainly no expert... I only saw him once...) Blew my mind! (As did the whole quintet...) Not to mention Grisman... whoah!
