Just got my Sam Bush last week.I'm really liking the tone, real bell-like.My only concern are the large frets.the slight radius is nice, but the frets feel like they are huge.Have there been any with thin frets built? If so I may trade for one.The jurys still out though,The more I play this the better it sounds.

Some have had them refretted with thin frets. Danny Roberts refretted his. I hate those big frets. It is the only thing I disliked about my bush. We are happy to refret it for you but not for free. You can order one with smaller frets, but we do not make it a standard option. Thank you for the question.

Hey ronlane3...how many batteries do your mandolin frets take??? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif . If you want a fingerboard radiused it runs about $375-400. Needless to say, you can chose the fret size you like them.

Well Joe if I would hook up a car battery to them it might make my fingers move as fast as Ronnie Mc's or Thile's or Doyle's, but that is beside the point. Thanks for the information.
