I just got a Analogman mini Bi-Comp I cannot believe how good it sounds. #I am running my Mann and Rono 5 stringers thru the bi-comp > tube screamer into a a twin 65 reissue.
It sounds GREAT!!!!!! ZIT also made my other tube amps sound fantastic as well. Both side sof the bi-comp sound amazing. #I cannot wait to put this on my pedal board.

When I used to play electric I never played without compression and delay. The compression give you that "produced" sound and the delay can make you sound like your playing in any size room you want or us it just to thicken your sound with a little slap back.

Cool stuff.

Yes I always use it.
Smooths out some of the "plinkiness"

Definitely, I use a compressor on all e-applications. It particularly helps on the mandolin to even out the attack.

I've used a flanger a lot as well with my Schwab 5 string to emulate some of the fullness lost with the single strings. It is a little space ship....Tried a choruser for after the same effect but wasn't pleased with it.

I do not turn off the comressor at all. I may switch from one side to the other since it is a bi-copm but it is never off. I cannot believe I did not use one my whole life until now. It is now in my main pedal board which is used for both guitar and 5 string mando.

Ernie ball VOlume>Analoman Bi COmp>Budda wha>FUlltone Full drive2>Fulltone Distortion Pro>MXR envelop FIlter> Boss Octave OC-2>Dls Chorus/VIB>LIne6 dl-4 delay. Into various Tube amps. 65 twin reissue, ampeg jet 12-T, Musicman 210-65, 1970 Fender Champ. Fender bassman 10. They all sound great with my pedalboard. Well I guess they all sound great without the pedal board either.
