Are there any affordable pickups and amps out there? When I say aforable but I guess I mean cheap and still pick up a descent sound.

Jeff Cowherd at mandolins.net has the Pintech AP10 pickup for around $35.00. I called and talked to him about it, and may be trying some. He said they sound really good for the money. I plan to use it in combination with a condenser to get more stage volume.
