I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. Go an email that Ken put my new silver Angel "Carolina" in the mail today over night shipping to arrive before 3p.m. Friday.

I have been playing Carolina all night and this mandolin sounds so full and woody. When you strum a chord there are so many tones and so much fullness that my wife walked in from the kitchen and asked me what I was playing. She was shocked at the diff in the sound.
The pics just don't do this mando justice. I am going to set up my studio gear and shoot some great pics of Carolina. (I am a photographer and worked as a photo journalist for the AP).
I will post thise shots when I get them done.
If anyone is thinking about getting a mando made I would recomend getting a Silver Angel in a second. Ken listened to me and gave me what I wanted to every detail.

I can't imagine playing the Mid Mo any more. It is a fine mando but why play less that the best you have?

Dano - CONGRATULATIONS! Welcome to the fraternity of Silver Angel owners! Ken & Laura certainly are great to work with if you want a custom mandolin that looks great and really barks with volume and a woody tone.

This mando is a dream to play. The area in front of the couch where I sit is like a cockpit. Laptop infront of me with 30 cds spred out left and right. A couple home spun video instructionals, my Inteletouch PT-1, Mel Bays First Lessions book, 10 rolls of leather to try braiding up a couple straps a couple gifts from Christmas and my Mid-Mo on my left in it's case and Carolia on my right sitting in her Bobelock with the top open so I can pick her at a moments notice. I think I will get some pics taken Wed afternoon. Looks like I will be going to a jam tonight, Thursday and Friday. Maybe I will learn enough to do Carolina justice for at least a second or too.
I started working on Way Fairing Strainger last night. One of my Christmas gifts was Bluegrass Mandolin Extravaganza which is great and it has a version of Sam Bush and the Dawg doing it and I have to learn that tune.
Well have to leave for a few and get a chair for me to sit in, mine is shot.
