Known as two of the foremost mandolin players on today's traditional acoustic music scene, the Mike Compton and David Long duet formed in 2003 after they realized they had a mutual interest in a variety of string band music - rural country blues, old time, bluegrass, and early string-band music.
The Mike Compton and David Long CD- "STOMP" is to be released shortly on David Grisman's AcousticDisc label.
