there's a gibson A2 listed in the classifieds with a 98xxx(1928?) serial number. there's no price listed, and the seller, "mark", has specified payment as either pickup or c.o.d. i've sent two messages asking for more info, pictures, and price, and haven't heard back. does anyone have any info on this?

It looks like a suspicoius listing to me. That sn# is the same as the A2-Z that just sold on ebay last week for $6600. Mabey its just a prank to get people worked up???

good eye, mike. it does have the same serial number. if it's a prank, the prankster should at least email me a picture of a clown playing a mandolin or something.
