Hey- just FYI... I happened on a wonderful seisiun on Sunday eve. in Greenfield, Massachusetts. (at a restaurant/pub called the People's Pint). A pretty large gathering (maybe 20 or so?) with some very skilled players but also inclusive of some who seemed to have less experience... several fiddlers, a few flutes, TWO players of uileann pipes, a tenor banjo and a guitar (yep, only one)... I was barely audible on my OM, but had a great time. Folks were friendly and welcoming. They definitely need more mando players, tho... so I thought I'd share about it here in case anyone could use the info...

oh... and very nice locally brewed beer as well.

Great venue...I went to grad school at UMass Amherst and would often travel up to the People's Pint. I believe once a month they had an old-time jam session as well.

I actually got married there. We used to go every week but it's got really busy lately. Great beer, and the owners are very cool.

We live only a few streets away. This town is starting to get the cultural overflow from Northampton and Amherst. We have fiddler fests, jams in the energy park, and once a year the Green River Festival. (http://www.greenriverfestival.com/)

If you're ever in town check out Mesa Verde and China Gourmet-great food.
