I've suggested this before but would like to weigh in again. A lot of boards I go to have stickies that stay at the top. These are usually FAQ and threads that tend to pop up a lot. Some will have links to pages that will go into detail on a subject. I love helping newbies and will continue to do so, but feel like a lot of simple questions could be answered through stickies. Taking up less bandwidth, etc. Maybe even a new to mandolin sub set when you come to the forums that would have a collection of archived threads for people to peruse. Like A vs F, starter mandolin, is Nickel Creek BG, etc. The important discussions out of the way upfront javascript:emoticon('http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif').
I know Scott has the final say on this. Just a suggestion. I'm not knocking newbies. I love the questions and do take the time to answer them. Just wondering if we could implement something like this?
