Dear all ...

In an effort to raise a bit of spare cash to help fund some of the costs involved in the next phases of the compilation of Irish and Scottish traditional music on the mandolin, which I'm currently in the process of finalising, I've listed a number of my own solo CDs on eBay.

All are available for sale internationally. #Each CD retails at £5.00 and you'll see that there are discounts for postage if more than one CD is purchased.

This self-promotion is not entirely shameless ... after all the cash generated will go towards some of the costs involved in getting "The Glass Slipper" up and running.

Please note that all my CDs contain original as well as trad tunes and also feature a fair few songs (and the occasional poem). #Just pointing that out in advance so that no-one feels unhappy when they receive one of my CDs ... mandolins feature extensively, but they're not the be-all-and-end-all of my music on these CDs.

Hope that by listing these items on eBay, I've made it easy for mandolincafe regulars to access my music and to help "seed-fund" The Glass Slipper compilation.

Kind regards to all.

Thanks. I've been meaning to order one for a while but have been stymied by my laziness in doing anything that I can't do over the internet. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Do I have to do anything special for international shipping? The last screen before the confirm button says that I'm paying the UK shipping price and I don't see anywhere to change it.

All you need to do is add £2.50 for first CD and £1.00 for each subsequent one ... I think paypal gives you the option of editing the postal charge. However, I'll check the links above; I suspect that these may be UK specific links (doh! on my behalf).

Many thanks.

OK ... links to the "international" edition of eBay follow. Hopefully these will give the international postage options!! (I can't test whether they will or not because sellers are barred from buying their own items ...)

Those links seem to work. Ebay says to choose the shipping amount when I get to paypal. I tried to order two CDs; then paypal said that I couldn't combine the two orders so I tried paying for them individually. For the first CD, it let me fill in a blank for the shipping amount (I put in 2.50, planning to put in 1.00 for the second one) and the payment went through fine. For the second, it has filled in 2.50 (instead for 1.00 for a additional item) for me and won't let me change it.

I've just received a very nice email from someone who recently bought a number of my CDs and I am so chuffed with it, I'm reprinting it here.

hows it going Aidan
sorry its taken me so long to get back to you.
I loved the cds mate, I've been working on the house for the last week and was using them as my working music.
it was a pleasure to hear the mandolin played so well and to actual hear it without being drowned out by other instruments.
the richman & the poor man + the ould orange flute both had me in stitches, the waters and the far horizon was brilliant, it reminded me of when I lived between fintona and fivemiletown many years ago, which was the last time I'd heard the expression cuttys and cubs.
so thank you mate, you've given me countless hours of pleasure, if you do any more, keep me in mind.
best of luck
