Its a 514,#31. Pics in the classifides. Gorgeous wood so typical of Eastman. If it plays half as good as it looks,Ill be happy. Steve has worked a lawaway for me. Should have it in 30 days or so.
Sent my deposit away in the mail today. There will be a few anxious moments waiting for them to recieve it.
It will probably be the closest I will ever come to owning an F4. Life is good. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

They keep getting better...the most recent batch of Eastmans at Gianna are KILLERS! I played about 4 that you'd be hard-pressed to pick a winner from...515, 615, and 815.

its always fun to get a new instrument!!! I remember when I bought my first Guild guitar, i pulled over half way home, just to open the case and smell it. whenever i get a new guitar, i always send out birth announcements, saying how much it weights, what her name is, date i got it, everyone else thinks i'm nuts but I don't care. so congrats, hope it brings you years of joy and fun!!

Nice instrument. Long radius on the fingerboard, just a bit of a roll to it. Nice.

I think the 5 MD515 mandolins I just got in have this slight radius as well. They look great, but I haven't even tuned them up.

Way to go... I just received an Eastman 814 from Steve at Gianna. It is a sweet piece of wood, plays very well. But its like a new acquaintance, I need to play it several times a day and just get to "know" it. Its an interesting process, just playing it and trying to hear its strengths and limitations, and to work with that.

My advice - don't worry about expectations, hype or criticisms... just keep listening to your favorite music and get ready to play some of it on your own mandolin :-)
