It sure seems like I've seen these someplace recently.

I wondered whether these tuners came off the "tomato-top" (spray painted) F2 that just sold on ebay - but this seller has a different I.D. than that F2 buyer.

I remember when I had an option to buy a set for like $250.00.

Normally I don't say what I paid for an item. Mando Cafe is a special place where customary caution can be lowered. Anyway, for what its worth, I paid $550 in May 2005 for a nice set of Handel tuners just to put aside for a rainy day. They are beautiful, hard to get and are not being made. The current auction is consistent with what I paid for an F model set in good condition. Rich

That's a bit over the top...the buttons looked a little chewed up.

I agree. and functionality should be a first priority.

I agree. There is alot of weird stuff going on lately with prices for parts. Things are getting out of hand with what people will pay for something.

$635...WOW I should have stripped them off my 1918 F2 before I sold it for $2600.00 last year.(just kidding) I probally would have still gotten $2600.00 without them on it. There is a big market for vintage hardware stuff, whether its for mandolins, autos, doors, windows, sinks etc. etc.BUT its a shame to "pick" these parts from there rightful places.
