The Cipher for Mandolin

I just found this website searching for mandolin related stuff - Cipher (http://www.thecipher.com/mandolin-cipher.html)
It looks really interesting. If you're familiar with it, I'd like to know what you think. Check it out.

It seems that the bottom line is that if you were inventing a way to read music this would be better than standard notation but the wide use of standard notation makes that the best to learn. Either way you have to learn something, why not something that will allow you to converse with others without converting them.
