Anybody know a quick easy way to create some really simple bluegrass bass lines on a PC for backing up my home practice on guitar and mando? I have and use a metronome, but want something more.
I don't play bass, and it would be very beneficial to have some perfect timing for practice.
I have Tabledit and CoolEdit, don't really edit much on either, not that experienced with them, just looking for a really simple way to do this.
Any thoughts? Thx! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif

You can use Tabledit -- write some bass lines, and Tabledit will play them back for you.

Or get Band in a Box -- just give it the chords and it will improvise bass lines (also guitar, banjo, piano, whatever else) parts in the style of your choice. It works great, and will give you far more payback for far less work -- or just visit the virtual bluegrass band:
