I recently bought a 1974 gibson F12. I cleaned it up, adjusted the bridge and put new strings on it. It sounds and plays really nice. Looks nearly new. But I hate the pick guard. My '91 F5 flatiron doesn't have one, so I'm not use to it. Will it hurt the value to remove the pick guard? And yes, I might sell it some day.

you can safely pull the pins out of the side of the fretboard,if you do it carefully.
its a press fit.
lower the value? don't scratch it or lose the original parts, my crystal ball is getting cloudy , the future is unclear..
