I recently picked up a copy of "Essential Jazz Etudes - the Blues for Violin" by Jack Wilkins. Published by Mel Bay. Price is $15 and worth much more. While there is no tab, those who don't read can get a lot out of it because the playalong CD is very clear and the melodies played by the violinist are easy to follow - especially if you have a slow down machine. There is just a whole lot of good material here - I highly recommend it.
