David Grisman Concert

Saw David Grisman in Eagle Idaho, at the Winery last week. Very Cool! "Old School Freight Train" Played first, they were very good too. I met the mandolin player afterwards, very nice young man, and a good picker too. Anyway "Dawg" was great, did a lot of older stuff, then Old School, came out on his encore and they did Fanny Hill and Dawgs Waltz, Jammed a bit. Thought you might enjoy these photos I took, David played his Loar most of the time, played another on a couple songs, couldn't see what it was, (Gilchrist?) I suppose, he had "Black Tape" over the infamous flowerpot! JD

This is When David, was asking me if I would trade my #1 Stewmac A5 for his Loar. He was holding tight to his Gibson until he truly had my #1 StewMac in his hands. You can see the violin player, telling him to "Do It" He must have seen my stuff on the cafe!
Then I got thrown into the moshpit, and got body surfed to the back row and the transaction never went down! Big loss for David!
