gibson f-12

i recently saw a f12 for sale and i noticed the neck joined the body at the 14th fret. can anyone tell me the correct scale length for this model? thanks

Some of the real early F-12`s were short necks and later they were long necks...I believe the scale length is the same on both though...13-7/8 in. I think is the length...Willie

pre war F12s and those from early '48 were short neckers while after '49 they were long neckers the same scale as the F5.

When did the f-12 change from a flush fretboard to an elevated board - or was it the other way around?
