Does anyone have info on people who know how to shave the braces on mando's ? # Indiana area.

Do you mean the internal tonebars? If so, that would probably imply removing the back of the mando... Not sure why you'd want to do that http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

Generally the bars in mandolins seem nicely done. Sometimes I see very stiff mandolins, but it is the graduation of the plates that seems roburst. Even these sound good eventually most of the time, once they break in. Although there are ways to hurry this up.
One need not remove the back - just make a bent scraper and work patiently.
