I saw them at the Telluride Bluegrass festival this year. They were awesome and very different than anyone else there. The mandolin and fiddle player had one some awards for their playing but the most amazing person was the banjo player who had no fingers! He picked with his good hand and hit the frets with his nubs. He was really good too. It was amazing. Check them out if you can. Here is thier website. Click (http://www.mountainheart.com/)

They are a great group and have been around for a fair amount of time.
Adam Steffey is one fine mandolin player. Heck, all them boys in the band are talented musicians.

Man those guys can play and sing. I have been a long time fan of Adam Steffey and got to see two of their sets at Wintergrass this past year. Those guys play with a fire that few other groups have.

Did U see that dude change that guitar string just in time for his solo?
That was just unbelievable... http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

I love those guys. I was sitting 2nd row at Graves Mt. and Clay broke 2 strings in a song during the 2nd set and probably about 4 or 5 in the whole set. Both times he broke his strings during the one song he had it strung back up in time for his next solo. These guys are fast, fast, fast, and very clean. If you haven't seen them, well you are missing out on something very good.

i saw them live at the international folk festival in maine, and after teh set, my freind baron and i jumped the tape and met up with steffy and got to play his mandolin and he signed an album for us...he's really a pretty cool guy, with some of the greatest chops, a little heavy on the gospel side but boy can he pick, normally you're not supposed to encourage banjo players but i agree mountain hearts got a awesome one... http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
