My first & only mando, a Kentuckey 150S, bought3yrs.ago.The first year I played it off & on because it hurt my fingers...so I stuck with my guitar playing. Finally, after much reading here & Fretts.com I removed the nut, and lowered the action there...the bridge would not help. Wow! now as I've heared others say "it plays like butter". I now practice 1-2 hrs. a day and can play a half dozen songs by memory, and am playing in local jams, able to chop chords in many different keys. Last week after a 2 & 1/2 hr. jam session, the banjo player & one of the better guitar players came over and asked to play my mando, they said it seemed to have good volume. Now, my guitar playing is suffering; for my first mando I'm very happy. Also, I took off the pickguard and am not putting it back...it is now louder.

Good price. Good mando. If its hard to play (fret the first fret and hurts) take it to a shop and get the action adjuster. You'll probably alos want to change out to better strings. Then you'll really love your mando!
