Hi

Spelling it "Ashokan" will get you the tab on MandoZine (http://www.mandozine.com/music/tabledit_search.php) http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

I can't hardly even think about that tune now without cracking up.
Check out this link. There's a fantastic "Sullivan Ballou letter" segment in it. If you liked the Ken Burns Civil War documentary, be prepared to...well...you decide.
By #the way, it's probably not very PC!

Ashokan Farewell is a really pretty tune, and the first one I learned on the mando. I don't mean to talk trash about it. I play it every day.
Enjoy the link!

It is so melodic that it's one of the easiest tunes to pick out by ear I have ever learned.

Where can I find a key for all the notation in TablEdit?
What does the "B" with the arrow above it pointing up mean in the tab for Ashokan Farewell?

Thanks, as always.

I think I found it on Jay Buckey's Website (http://www.jaybuckey.com). He has lot of nice sheet/tab on there.

I still can't decide if the guy a year or so ago who was looking for the tab to "A Shogun Farewell" was joking or not. Got a kick out of that one. I think I found mine on the Buckey site. Frank
